DR18SUB
The DR18SUB 2400-Watt active subwoofer provides the ultimate in low-frequency reproduction, and the built-in stereo crossover makes this subwoofer ideally suited for use with any of our active 2-way loudspeakers. Powered by a 2400-Watt Class-D amplifier, an 18” long-excursion subwoofer and an incredible array of professional features, the DR18SUB produces extreme levels of deep punch, along with the definition and clarity typically reserved for much larger systems!
Powerful Amplifier and DSP
Thanks to our revolutionary Class-D amplifier and state-of-the-art DSP technology, the DR18SUB provides you with enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable and lightweight package. The built-in intelligent limiter gives your wild subwoofer full protection from burnout and keeps your party going on all night long.
Custom-Engineered Driver
Our LF transducers are designed specifically for each application – and this approach sets us apart from the competition. When you buy a Behringer loudspeaker, you can rest assured that the transducers inside have been engineered to perform flawlessly in conjunction with every other element to deliver truly professional results: massive quantities of extreme deep bass with low distortion and high sound pressure output.
Take Control
The DR18SUB features balanced XLR inputs and outputs, as well as optional output modes for multiple preferences. In Link Mode, the full range signals are passed thru to the full range satellite speakers; in Xover Mode, only signals above the cutoff frequency are sent to the satellite speakers. The cutoff frequency is also changeable between 90 Hz and 120 Hz by switch control. A Level knob controls the input gain, and the Phase switch reverses the output phase to compensate for frequency cancellation between the subwoofer and satellite speakers. LEDs show operational status at a glance, including power, signal present and input overloads. Rounding out this stellar set of features is an RMS and Peak limiter, which provides the ultimate in protection for the LF driver.
Extraordinarily Versatile
The DR18SUB can deliver extremely high sound pressure levels, up to 129 dB over a 30 to 150 Hz frequency range. A standard 35 mm (1.375″) pole socket helps you pole-mount your full range satellite loudspeakers, or you can set the satellite speakers atop the DR18SUB, depending on your application. A single DR18SUB can help you run sound for a jazz combo in a dinner club, but if you need to serve up pulse-pounding techno at a large, standing-room-only dance club, you might need a pair of DR18SUBs to really ignite the dance floor.
Sound Value
The DR18SUB delivers exceptional performance even when pushed to the limit. Lightweight and powerful, with custom-designed transducers, massive power handling and extreme portability, the DR18SUB subwoofer is ideal for any music application – at a price that is unheard of in this class. Experience the DR18SUB at your local dealer today and find out why more and more professionals are turning to Behringer DR18SUB loudspeakers and subwoofers for their superb performance and extraordinary value.
